The equipment and technology that i am going to use are camera's to take pictures to form my band. I will then manipulate these images using an Imac Pc which contains a software called Indesign and photoshop. I can change the images and things to them. this helps me create and more realistic magazine. Indesign is good making the headlines and the magazine itself whilst photoshop is used more for editing the images.

After looking at the UK top 40 in the download chart i have noticed that bands and artists are different and there is a variety of music at the top of the charts. Some of these include pop, indie and R&B

The Band images that i have chosen are most likely to be the same type of band that will feature in my magazine. Arctic Monkeys are an Indie/rock band and tend to dress and act an certain way. The recent addition of genre to music "indie" has added its own style i clothing and characteristics. The image i have chosen of the band shows the style of clothing of this genre. On the images they never seem to be smiling. The band also seem to be arrogant e.g hands in pockets. The target audience is probably going to be people of the age of 15 - 30 creating there own style and following the trends of these bands.

After looking at the circulation figures of the most well known music magazines from January to June 2009 there has been a dramatic drop in the type of music magazine that I was going to make my own on. This magazine was NME and has an indie genre magazine. My product needs a unique selling point and needs to appeal to the audience for them to buy it. Now my magazine is going to contain a hybridity of genre which will appeal to a more variety of audience because there is more to choose from than just one genre. The other genre that I am going to use is rock.
